Kiwanis International is a global community of clubs, members, and partners dedicated to improving the lives of children one community at a time. Today, we stand with more than 550,000 members from K-Kids to Key Club to Kiwanis and many ages between in 80 countries and geographic areas. Each community has different needs, and Kiwanis empowers members to pursue creative ways to serve the needs of children, such as fighting hunger, improving literacy, and offering guidance. Kiwanis clubs host nearly 150,000 service projects each year.
Service is the goal. Membership is how we get there. New clubs with new members bring new ideas, perspectives, and experiences as well as more hands to better serve our communities. We are excited to engage and recruit more members to the LaMissTenn District and Kiwanis family.
For the 2022-2023, Governor Bruce Hammatt’s goal is to open 4+ new clubs. To date, the District has opened:
- The Kiwanis Club of Red River Parish in Coushatta, LA (October 2022)
- The Kiwanis Club of Ridgeland-Madison County in Ridgeland, MS (March 2023)
- The Kiwanis Club of NW St Tammany Parish in Folsom, LA (May 2023)
